The good news is governments are recognizing the need to braid/weave traditional Indigenous knowledge with modern day emergency management which means more funding is becoming available to do this.
The bad news is the climate crisis is upon us so we are reacting rather than being proactive.

Prescribed fire is a colonial adaptation of cultural burning practiced by many different Indigenous groups in Canada.
